Lee/Sophia filmed a scene at COB. I don’t know which date, but I am fairly sure it was for 5.12

Final episode to be filmed for 2007.

Carrie kidnaps Jamie from Lucas and Lindsey’s wedding, but a seemingly reformed Dan saves him. However, when Dan is later found with Jamie, the episode ends on a cliffhanger with everyone assuming that he was the kidnapper.

Lindsey leaves Lucas at the altar.

For the LL wedding, Hilarie is wearing a very pretty black strapless knee length dress, and her hair is down. Sophia is wearing a similar style of dress, except it’s dark blue. Michaela wrapped filming yesterday (December 14th). She’s gone for good.

The extra days were long and somewhat exciting. We started off by filming Haley walking down the isle as the maid of honor, next was Jamie as the ring bearer, Lily as the flower girl and finally Lindsey walked down the isle to “Here Comes the Bride”. We did various takes and angles of these people continuously making their way down the isle. Next we filmed the scene where Lindsey runs out of the church, and she does in fact run, and Haley runs out after her. Lucas stands there a little dumbfounded and looks quite hurt in his facial reaction. We also filmed the scene wear Peyton gets up and tells him she loves him and gives him the whole speech, the extra’s were asked to act surprised and then normal again when the camera pans back to Lucas b/c it is in fact a dream sequence.

We also filmed a scene where Peyton has a “dream” or it is considered a dream sequence. The extras were asked to stand right outside of the door to throw birdseed up in the air. I thought it would be Lucas and Lindsey of coarse but it happened to be Lucas and Peyton and Haley and Brooke both are there as Peyton’s bridesmaids in matching teal dresses. Peyton kisses Brooke on the cheek and her and Lucas ride away together. Hilarie also filmed a short scene where she just sat in her car outside of the church “thinking” this could be when this dream comes to light.

Okay…Nathan and Haley are on very shaky ground at this point. I was under the impression that they aren’t even living together at this point and time. They were very distant at the wedding.

Torrey’s (Carrie’s) hair is now black, Jackson had his blond up until Friday. Haley is wearing a black dress with some lace, she looks very beautiful. Peyton is in a strapless grey dress with black beads on it and Brooke is in a knee length purple strapless dress, all of the girls looked gorgeous! Nathan is in a black suit with a black bow tie and Lucas is in a black suit with a white satan tie. Lindsey was wearing a big wedding dress with a long train and I thought it looked awful. No matter who wore it the dress itself was just unflattering.

Side Summaries

Scene 24- Nathan promises Haley that he’s going to love her forever, and they kiss as we hear a string quartet begin to play in the church.

Scene 25- Inside the church. Lindsey appears behind Jamie and Lily, the ring bearer and flower girl, as the wedding march begins.

Scene 26- On the balcony, the organist sees the back of a woman watching the wedding taking place below. Mentioning that she may like to find a seat with everyone else, the woman responds that she’s fine where she is. She then informs the organist that “my son’s the ring bearer.” Turning around, she is revealed to be Carrie, Jamie’s former nanny, and she is wearing an “eerie grin” as we reach the end of Act 1.

Scene 27- Inside the church. Lucas and Lindsey’s wedding. The kids (Jamie/Lily) are leading Lindsey down the aisle as Nanny Carrie watches from above. As Lily passes Peyton, she tosses petals into the air prompting a flashback to 4.09 from Peyton.

Scene 28- 4.09 Flashback, “It’s You, Peyton”.

Scene 29- Peyton rises to her feet as Lindsey joins Lucas at the altar. The minister speaks and we zoom in on Peyton and Brooke, standing behind Karen, Lily, and Andy. Skills is behind Peyton and tells her “he’s got her”, reaching down for one of his beers. Brooke walks up to the front to begin her reading, as she does this Nathan steals a glance at Haley. As Brooke reads, we flashback to Clothes Over Bro’s.

Scene 30- Brooke tells Lucas she came home to get pregnant with his child. Lucas is freaked out, asking if she’s really thought about this.

Scene 31- The minister asks Lucas to say his vows and Peyton stands up objecting as Skills grins at her actions. She tells Lucas she’s sorry and he can’t do this because she loves him and because he fixed her car. She says that day changed everything because he changed her heart along with her car. She goes on to say two years ago he proposed to her and she was scared so she said someday. She tells him that someday is now and she loves him and pleads for him not to leave her again. But when it cuts back to Lucas, we see Peyton imagined it all and Lucas says “I do”.

Scene 32- Lucas slips a ring on Lindsey’s finger as Jaime whispers to Skills he has to go to the bathroom. Skills doesn’t want him to go alone, but Jamie pleads saying Lily will make fun of him and that he knows where it is. Skills agrees making him promise to come right back.

Scene 33- In the foyer, Jamie runs into Carrie, shocked to see her. He hugs her and she lies to him saying his mom and dad said she could be with him again, then urges him to go with her. He protests, but she tells him she loves him and asks if he trusts her. He takes her hand.

Scene 34- Lindsey eyes her wedding band and whispers “It’s a comet.” Everyone is confused. Lucas asks what’s wrong and Lindsey says it was a comet the boy saw. She goes to recite a passage from his book about a boy who saw a comet and felt his life finally had meaning and that he waited his entire life for it to return. Lindsey then asks when the first day he ever talked Peyton was. Lucas eyes Peyton and all eyes follow his lead putting Peyton in the spotlight. Lucas says that her car broke down and we enter a flashback.

Scene 35- The start of the flashback from when Lucas first spoke to Peyton on that country road with her broken down car. “That’s me inside your head”.

Scene 42- Brooke is explaining to Peyton she’s spent the last 4 years working long hours and she needs something to fill a void that success hasn’t. She wants a family. Peyton asks if she wants to marry Lucas. Brooke says no and that she wants Peyton to marry Lucas and that she just wants to a mom like her mother never was and Lucas to be the father. Peyton tries to absorb this and Brooke says it’s ok, that Lucas looked freaked out too. Brooke hugs Peyton again and Mouth and Millicent approach looking for Jamie.

Scene 43- Outside the church. Nathan comes up to Haley, Skills, Karen and Andy. Haley starts to panic and tells Nathan they can’t find Jamie and that Dan was there earlier. Haley says she told Dan not to come into the church and her words become frantic. Nathan rushes out into the street to stop a police car. Nathan tells them his son is missing. The cops don’t believe him at first and wonder if he’s had a few drinks at the reception. Nathan goes off, not believing the cop is asking him that when his son is missing. He tells them his name and that his father is Dan Scott, a murderer. Haley and the rest reach Nathan. The policeman asks for a description. Haley notes Nathan’s strength and springs into action. She tells the cop her son is 4 and a half years old, was wearing a black tuxedo, has blue eyes and sandy blonde hair.

Scene 44- Carrie in a motel bathroom washing the dye out of Jamie’s hair. She tells him this will be so fun, he’ll have black hair just like her. Jamie thinks his mama will be mad. Carrie smiles and pushes his head back under the faucet, quietly, to herself, telling him that she’s going to be his mama now. Her grin turns a bit warped and that’s the end of Act 4.

Ausiello: I don't know about the proposal per se, but a ring is seen in the first hour of the two-hour premiere. I would say that the triangle is never going to be completely done, but with Lucas' new love in the picture, it's more like a square.

Ausiello: Flattery will get you everywhere — yes, even when it concerns OTH. (My shrink says I'm mellowing with age; I say the strike has made me desperate for scoop. We agreed to disagree.) Regarding the new season, exec producer Mark Schwahn recently told TV Guide's resident OTH junkie Damian Holbrook that we won’t see Rachel early on in Season 5 and that the show "hasn’t lost anyone entirely" — although he did consider having Whitey die during the four years that are skipped. Ultimately, he just couldn't go there. Schwahn also revealed that "we're not going to see as much of the parents... but the specter of them will always be there." And Kevin Federline won over the cast with his work ethic during his three-episode arc. At one point, Fed-Ex was even spotted running lines with Bethany Joy Galeotti! And no, "running" is not a typo. I double-checked.

After four years of being apart, Lucas, Brooke, Nathan, Haley, Peyton and the rest of the gang reunite. Lucas is now a writer and has successfully published his first book and is currently working on his second, while Peyton is pursuing her career in the music industry. As for Brooke, she has continued working on her fashion line while Nathan and wife Haley are raising their son James.

In the second episode of season 5, everyone seems to be settled into Tree Hill. Lucas and Skills prepare a soap box racer so that James can compete in a race while Haley tries to convince Nathan go to their son's event. Haley, Peyton and Brooke also attempt to find a nanny for James.

Another One Tree Hill spoiler revolves around Lucas as he gets back on the dating scene, while Brooke encounters some problems at her clothing company.

It's four years into the future and the Tree Hill gang has finished college. Now, their lives have taken completely different directions. She and Haley have become friends. Nathan and Skills have a conversation about what is true and not true. He mentions to Nathan about never dating girls named Bevin and something about Dan. Nathan tells him to stay away from stuff about Dan for now.

This seems to be an episode where most of the action is set in the time frame between the season 4 finale and the season 5 premiere. Whitey pays Lucas a visit in episode 5.05. Nathan is in shape enough to play basketball again. Nathan loses his cool when a "fan" asks him if Jamie will be a cheater like his father and shave points. Luckily, Lucas is travelling (he may be part of the staff) with Nathan's team and stops his brother before things go ugly. Lucas visits Peyton in L.A., where she is working in a record company's mail room. Over dinner, Lucas talks about how he keeps getting rejection letters from editors. But he gets a call from Lindsey (he hasn't met her yet), who read his book and wants the publishing company she works for to edit his novel. He travels to NYC to meet with the editor. While there, he visits Brooke. Haley also appears.

Season 4 DVD set details...

One Tree Hill fans can breathe a sigh of relief, the season 4 set is in the can and will be released… eventually. Initial reports had the release date set for January 1, 2008, but TvShowsonDVD is currently reporting that date as incorrect. As for the set itself, it's the standard fair for a television box set: All the episodes, some extras and more. Why is it being released so late, you ask. The reason is very simple.

Since One Tree Hill is a mid-season show, Warner Brothers will time the DVD release to coincide with the eve of the new season's premiere. This is a time honored tradition in the television world, and a pattern you will see with very few exceptions. Jericho being a notable one.

The blurb from the back of the packaging reads:

"Goodbye, Tree Hill High. Graduation nears. And with its approach comes the realization that, for students and parents alike, life is changing forever. Kevin Federline is staying focused on what could be a "recurring" One Tree Hill role despite his bitter custody battle with ex Britney Spears.

"It's good and I'm having fun," a soft-spoken Federline told PEOPLE Thursday night at The Cellar Billiards & Grill in downtown Wilmington, N.C., of his guest spot on the CW hit.

Federline, who was a deemed a perfect fit for the rock-star character by One Tree producers, arrived Wednesday for a two-day shoot in the recording studio, and, despite his troubles, appeared upbeat.

"Generally, he's in a good mood," said a crewmember on the set during filming this week. "The agreement we have is to shoot around his custody fight."

A CW spokesperson says Federline is slated to shoot just two episodes, "but producers say it could be a recurring role. It's an open-ended story."

No stranger to North Carolina nightlife, Federline hit The Cellar with his bodyguard around 11 p.m. Thursday. Dressed in a white T-shirt and matching do-rag, he nestled into a seat by the bar.

Federline took the party a few doors down to The Liquid Room shortly after midnight, where he and his mini-entourage danced around the deejay booth until closing time.

In episode 5.04, Peyton wants Hayley to help Jason but the latter thinks that Hayley is merely "an organ player at church." Peyton is angry at how Jason treats Hayley and let's him know exactly who she is. Jason storms off as he is not ready to listen to Hayley's suggestions. Hayley offers to produce the album and work with self-centered Jason. Peyton meets with singer Mia. It seems that Mouth may be having an affair with Alice, one of the bosses where he works.

After the show, Jason drops by Peyton’s office and she offers to sign the group on her label. It won’t be easy to convince Jason, especially since Peyton has not one else signed on her label. Lindsey worries about her relationship with Lucas since Peyton and Brooke are back in town. Dan is still in jail. Nathan will be on crutches in this episode.

Sophia Bush ruled Teen Choice Awards...

One Tree Hill actress Sophia Bush, dominated this year's Teen Choice Awards, taking home a total of three awards: Choice Breakout Female in a Movie, Choice Actress in a Horror/Thriller Movie for The Hitcher, and Choice Actress in Comedy Movie for John Tucker Must Die.

This is not the first time Sophia Bush has graced the teen-centered awards ceremony. She was first nominated for a Teen Choice award in 2005, for her portrayal of Brooke Davis on the CW's One Tree Hill. She was again nominated for the role the following year, but failed to capture the award on both occasions. This year, she did not receive a nomination for the series.

Nevertheless, earning three awards in one night placed her in the same level as the Disney blockbuster, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which slew its competitors by winning the award for Choice Action Adventure Movie.

Other winners that night include the television movie High School Musical 2, Zac Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, comedian Dane Cook, Avril Lavigne, Justin Timberlake and Fergie, who gave the most emotional acceptance speech of the night.

"This award isn't paid for. This award isn't traded for favors," Fergie said, while tearing up. "This is picked by you."

The awards are selected by the teen-voting public, with the winners receiving surfboards instead of statuettes.

The event was hosted by Hilary Duff (Lizzie McGuire) and Nick Cannon, and was telecast on August 26, Sunday, from the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal Studios Hollywood. In less than two hours, presenters rapidly went through 30 categories. The show also featured musical performances from such artists as Shop Boyz and American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.

The biggest highlight of the night was when 53-year-old John Travolta took to the stage to accept the award for Choice Summer Comedy/Musical Movie for Hairspray, wherein he played Edna Turnblad.

Meanwhile, fans of Sophia Bush can catch her again on the small screen when One Tree Hill returns for its fifth season next year.

Star cleans up?...

Sophia Bush has joined 100 volunteers in the cleanup act, here's what buddyTV have to say:

In an effort to make a difference, One Tree Hill's Sophia Bush joined the efforts of the Surfrider Foundation and Barefoot Wine to make the Wrightsville Beach "barefoot friendly."

The 25-year-old actress, along with more than 100 volunteers consisting of students, surfers and other celebrities, pitched in to pick up trash on the beach and in the water. Moreover, they walked miles to collect bottles, cigarette butts, cans, and other remains that can cause destruction with the wildlife and make the beach look filthy.

"The beach is not a dumping ground or a garbage can," the One Tree Hill actress said.

"Now being here on the east coast and working in Wilmington for the last five years, the Atlantic has become our playground, and Wrightsville beach is our home away from home, so it's important to me and everybody that I work with that this beach stay clean," she added.

Bush, who plays Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill, lives in Wrightsville Beach whenever the series is in production.

Aside from Bush, Jill Cunniff of the band Luscious Jackson also gave her support in the cleanup act by lending her name and her voice. After picking up garbage, she performed at Tower 7 Baja to an appreciative audience as a form of gratitude to the volunteers for their efforts.

"I've loved the beach since I was a child," Cunniff said. "There's always trash. We would go to city beaches and there's always stuff on the beach so that's how it's come right in to my life. Now when I go to the beach, not only do I clean the beach around me, I go in the water and clean the water."

"We cleaned up a lot of cigarettes…we had a bag about this big of cigarette butts, she added. "What can I say? Stop smoking, it's bad for you!"

New Cast Members...

It's official: One Tree Hill is obsessed with beautiful people and Beautiful People.

Just weeks after Daphne Zuniga, who starred as the matriarch on the short-lived ABC Family soap, was added to the cast, producers have tapped her daughter on that show, Torrey DeVitto, to do a multi-episode arc.

The two actresses probably won't cross paths on the Hill, though. Zuniga will be involved in Brooke's storyline, while DeVitto will be playing the nanny looking after Nathan and Haley's son, James (although I hear her eye will wander elsewhere).

It happened again: I made it through another OTH item without making a single snide comment about the show. What is wrong with me?!

Ausiello: Happy birthday! Building on the Brooke/Lucas scoop thread I started in last week's AA, here's the lowdown on Peyton and Nathan. (Spoiler alert) When the season starts, Peyton will be living in Los Angeles working as an assistant to the assistant of a music producer. Nathan, meanwhile, is in a wheelchair and has a 4-year-old son that's interested in basketball. He's also a raging alcoholic and bitter about life (Nathan, not his son). Mouth (is there really someone on this show named Mouth!?) is trying desperately to be a sportscaster. So happy birthday, Jacqueline. Remember: Don't drink and drive!

One applicant is a very manly female and Brooke and Peyton make fun of her. When Haley is ready to give up, Brooke says that Peyton will take Nathan to physical therapy (as reported before, Nathan is in a wheelchair) and she'll take care of James for a few hours so Haley can do her things. Skills and Mouth are roommates. Lucas and Skills work on a soap box racer so James can take part in a race. Brooke has problems at her company. It seems that Lucas is dating someone named Lindsey.

Kevin Federline joins the cast...

Kevin Federline has officially won primary custody of Britney Spears' spotlight, for the moment. The fledgling rapper has – thankfully – abandoned his recording career for the moment to pursue a more apt gig, playing a cocky wannabe rock star on One Tree Hill. News of the former Mr. Britney Spears' latest acting gig spread faster than then that strange "Popozao" hand dance video K-Fed placed on YouTube last year.

Federline will join the all new five-years-in-the-future One Tree Hill for what is described as a multiple episode arc, playing the front man for Tree Hill's fictional rock band No Means Yes. While no one dares to say it in these terms, this officially makes K-Fed a semi-recurring character – if such a thing actually exists.

America's most famous gold digger was previously seen slaughtering the acting method in an episode of CSI last October in which he played a masked mugger. You could very easily include Chaotic amongst his ‘acting' credits since Federline's attempts at portraying himself as an independent man with no interest in Britney's coattails would have definitely earned him an Emmy if the show had been classified as a fictional drama.

The high profile custody battle between Fed and Britney is kicking into high gear as Federline attempts to gain sole custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James in the wake of Britney's procession of bizarre behavior.

Whether Federline will become intricately involved in the plot remains to be seen, but since he obviously cannot sing its safe to assume he will either be a lip syncing oddity, or will actually have a role in the story. Then again, One Tree Hill producers may just be taking a cue from what casting Isaiah Washington did for Bionic Woman's internet buzz, bringing the infamous Mr. Federline on board in the hopes of sparking a flurry of snarky internet articles. Lee Norris talks about his character...

Filming has begun for One Tree Hill's fifth season, which, as previously reported, takes place four years after high school graduation. The next time viewers tune in to the series, the characters will be fresh out of college and already in their twenties. Actor Lee Norris has no problem with the direction the show is taking, and believes fans will not be disappointed.

“This season is more exciting than usual because they have done a time jump… It's really reenergized my interest in the character and the show, and I think it will do the same for our fans,” he told independent entertainment writer Aaron Guerra.

The 26-year-old actor, who made his television series debut on The Torkelsons, is also looking forward to the new storylines involving his character.

“It's always fun to try new things, and I'm hopeful that Mouth will grow up a little bit this year,” Norris told Guerra. “I like playing Mouth with confidence in who he is, but sometimes that's tough to do when he continually gets his heart broken. This year we're going to see him more in the work environment and dealing with the challenges that brings a guy like him.”

One Tree Hill's future beyond the fifth season is still uncertain, but Lee Norris says he will not give up acting when the drama series comes to an end. Looking forward, he can also see himself venturing out into other areas of production.

“I was an English major in college, and I love to write, so I think writing is certainly a possibility. I would love to eventually direct and produce as well,” he said. “Right now I'm completely focused on acting, but I'm so lucky to get to be on set and observe our directors and producers at work. I'm definitely watching and learning from them.”

Norris would also like to do some traveling.

“I'd really like to take a trip somewhere. A friend of mine just got back from Ireland and raved about it, and there's a few other places I've never been that I'd love to explore,” he said.

The fifth season of One Tree Hill will premiere next year.

Will Spoilers derail the drama?...

One Tree Hill has some serious issues: its own nosy fans. The first episode of One Tree Hill's new season has already been spoiled down to the finite details, including what everybody is wearing for a hair do. So what does the rest of the season hold? As a mid season show, One Tree Hill may have as many as 12 episodes in the can by the time it begins airing season 5. Those 12 episodes could be just as spoiled by that time.

One of the insinuations from the industry regarding spoilers is that if people know the plot they don't bother to watch. Another very serious consideration is that when a spoiler comes out, it is representing a major plot point without the finesse of the writing, acting, editing, and soundtrack. It is a hollow nugget of information, but a potent one none the less.

When fans read a spoiler, they tend to interpret the event with their inner eye and make judgments on whether the plot point is a successful on or not. This was similarly experienced in the Lost community when Jack's flash forward was revealed. You had audiences reacting to the twist without having actually experienced it. And the reaction was not altogether positive, for all the wrong reasons.

One Tree Hill's shooting location, well outside of Hollywood in an authentic rural setting, makes it extremely difficult to lock down. The production has, in many ways, invaded the life of the residents in the communities it shoots in. Therefore, local ordinances aren't really engineered the way they are in a filming community to allow crews to block out public access.

When One Tree Hill goes on location, it is not uncommon for fans to walk directly up and talk to crew members, or even actors, and steel a glance at call sheets, or even find a loose-lipped crew member with no savvy for fending off guerrilla media. For all intent and purpose, there is no reason to suspect that the conciseness of spoilers will be any less detailed than the fans want them to be.

Season 5 Preview...

One Tree Hill fans who live local to the shooting have been relentless in uncovering and reporting spoiler after spoiler as production of the fifth season moves forward. Now on the second episodes, the local snoops have so far been able to assemble a very good picture of what the first episode will look like. Warning, this is a little beyond the level of your average TV Guide listing and may contain details some would consider major spoilers.
The first episode picks up, famously, five years after the finale. Despite what you might expect, in the beginning the regulars are not all still living Tree Hill. Most of them are actually spread out over the country. Brooke is in New York and has become a famous fashions designer. Peyton is in Los Angeles working for a major recording label. Haley and Nathan are still in Tree Hill, Haley is now a teacher at Tree Hill High School. Lucas has achieved his dream of becoming a big time writer.

The initial episode is about how those who have traveled away from Tree Hill over the course of the five years and inexplicably drawn back in unison. For Brooke, it is the yearning for a simpler life, and a desire to settle down and start a family. Lucas finds himself unable to write and decides to come back to Tree Hill, where it all began, to recharge his creative batteries. Peyton, meanwhile, quits the record business and hobbles back broke and looking to reinvent.

Nathan is the most scarred character from the bunch, having missed out on his dream to become a professional basketball player, Nathan lives despondent. He drinks constantly and has become a generally loathsome person. In the first episode, he will start a bar brawl and is thrown through a window. As a result of that, his life will be changed forever.

Question: I know that you have answered a lot of One Tree Hill questions in the past few weeks despite the fact that you hate the show, but can you please give me some scoop to tide me over until January?— Angela

Ausiello: (Spoiler alert) As luck would have it, I recently secured the services of a new OTH mole, and he/she had lots of prattle about the time-leaping season premiere. Per my spy, Lucas has written a successful first book, but due to a case of writer's block, he's having a hard time churning out a follow-up. He has also gotten involved with the Ravens, most likely as an assistant coach. Brooke, meanwhile, is off in New York being a successful fashion designer. The name of her inaugural line? Clothes over Bros. I'll have scoop on the rest of the OTH gang in next week's AA. (I'd just like to point out that I got through an entire OTH answer without making one snarky comment about what a huge pile of brown stinky stuff the show is. Props to me.)

Outgrowing Audience?...

One Tree Hill is on the lookout for an older audience. The jump into the future for many was the only way to go when the show delivered what was essentially a series finale. Where would you pick up from dramatically when most of the loose ends were neatly tied up. The problem with jumping five years ahead, is you can no longer point the show at its previous target demographic.

Virtually all of the characters will be moving on to more adult lifestyles, situations and problems. There will still be the allure of the high school sports motif, but this time through the lens of an aging local hero who is now the coach. From here on out, the One Tree Hill gang is looking for an older, more mature audience. But where does that bring the late arrivals?

One Tree Hill's younger slanted demographic hasn't really changed as the show has gone on, which is a common criticism for the show. As the die hard audience ages, the target audience stays the same. Luckily those demos usually run in ultra wide four year swaths anyways.

With the new season, however, the younger elements of the show will become a backdrop for the dramatics. A static reminder of the newer, more mature characters previous lives. Instead of symbolizing the seemingly endless vigor of youth, they will now represent the moving on. No longer are the characters on the edge of adult hood, they are now slipping into the void of age.

Sure, they will not be aging. And the truth be known, there is bigger advertising dollars to be had from the new target age group. But what about the younger viewers who hoped on in the last few years seeking a dramatized echo of their own aspirations and fears. Are they prepared to suddenly age five years to ‘get' with the new One Tree Hill mindset?

Coach stars in films...

Best known to One Tree Hill fans as Coach Whitney Durham, Barry Corbin kept busy in between seasons of the show by heading to the big screen. Corbin has completed four films alone set for release in the next year. His most high profile movie comes from Oscar-winner Paul Haggis's film, In The Valley of Elah. The movie boasts an all star cast including Tommy Lee Jones, Charlize Theron, James Franco, Jason Patric, and Susan Sarandon.

Written and directed by Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby), In The Valley of Elah is a story about a young soldier who mysteriously goes AWOL for four days after returning from the front lines of Iraq. His father (Jones) and mother (Sarandon) hire a police detective (Theron) to help track him down. His father finds out that his son was murdered and goes on a mission trying to piece together what led to his untimely death. The movie was inspired by a 2004 Playboy magazine article written by Mark Boal. In The Valley of Elah is set for a September 14 release date.

Corbin can also be seen later this year in the movie Lake City, a drama about a family tragedy that reunites a mother and son. The film stars Sissy Spacek, Rebecca Romijn (Ugly Betty), Dave Matthews, and Drea de Matteo (The Sopranos). He also has two films due out in 2008: The Hill and The House of Terror.

Barry Corbin is a film veteran who has appeared in over 100 films. At 67 years old, his first movie came in 1980 when he appeared in Urban Cowboy. He has appeared in a number of television shows such as: Spin City, The Drew Carey Show, Reba, and is most well known for a long stint on Northern Exposure in the early 90s. He has also starred in Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.
Filming began last month on season five of One Tree Hill. The show will return as a midseason replacement in 2008. One Tree Hill changes gears in season five as the cast and storylines move four years into the future.

Spoilers Galore...

Details on two new recurring One Tree Hill characters have emerged. TV Guide's Michael Ausiello has teased the actresses and the roles they will be playing. Even though One Tree Hills' next season is still a half a season away, other details have been leaking concerning what the future brings for One Tree Hill. To find out more about the new characters, and some news concerning the fate of River Court, read on. (Spoiler Warning.)

A poster at Othforums is a local to the basketball court used for River Court on the show. The poster has been keeping an eye on the area for filming and was surprised to come across One Tree Hill's crew dressing up the court to look decrepit, weed ridden, and completely unused. Not a good sign at all.

At the same site, another local has been keeping track of changes in the character's looks. Aside from slight hair coloring here and there, it doesn't sound like anything too drastic has happened with the exception of Bethany Joy Galeotti's Haley, who is now sporting a super short 'do.

As far as TV Guide's Ausiello scoops, two new characters will be joining for around five episodes. One, Michaela McManus, will play a book editor from New York attached to Lucas' (Chad Michael Murray) novel. Slightly more telling, in case you didn't notice, is that not only is Lucas' desire to become a writer alive and kicking, but he is apparently making some progress.

Daphne Zuniga will be joining the cast as an intimidating executive who will be working closely with Brooke (Sophia Bush.) Since there is still not a lot of scoop as to just what Brooke is up to five years in the future, we can only guess what the consequences of this pairing will be.

Actress stars in Comedy Flick...

Fans of Danneel Harris have something to look forward to besides the upcoming season of One Tree Hill. The 28-year-old actress will also be featured in the comedy movie Harold & Kumar 2, which is a sequel to the 2004 film Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.

The One Tree Hill actress plays Vanessa and will be joining John Cho and Kal Penn as they reprise their roles as Harold Lee and Kumar Patel respectively.

In Harold & Kumar 2, the famously stoned buddies will be taking their misadventure in the Deep South Bay. The premise revolves around Kumar, the Indian American protagonist, as he is mistaken for a bomb-carrying terrorist while the pair is trying to sneak a bong on board a plane on the way to Amsterdam. As fugitives on the run from the Department of Homeland Security, they travel through Miami to Texas and soon find themselves in the ranch house of President George W. Bush.

Although the original movie failed to ignite at the box office during its release in the summer of 2004, it has pulled in more than 30 million DVD sales. With the development of a sequel writer/director Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg hope to address the popular demand of the comedy duo.

“We expected it to be an underground hit, and we thought it would blow up huge on DVD and people would want to see a sequel," Schlossberg said.

Aside from Harris, new additions to the cast include comedian Jon Reep and former Daily Show correspondent Rob Corddry. The movie will also feature some familiar faces such as Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), who appeared as a drug-crazed version of himself in the original movie, and Paula Garces (The Shield), as Maria, Harold's Latina love interest.

This isn't Danneel Harris' first attempt in the big screen. Although she is known for playing Rachel Gatina on One Tree Hill, she has acted in movies like Rule Number One, Parental Guidance Suggested and the romantic comedy Ten Inch Hero.

Producers hunting for new Raven...

One Tree Hill producers are looking to form a new basketball team for next season, from real high school basketball players. The production set up an open audition in North Carolina looking for players from eighteen to twenty five to form the Tree Hill Ravens for One Tree Hill's mid season return. In case you didn't know, the show will be jumping five years into the future, so all of the actors who played team members will need to be replaced, even the extras.

The posting went up in an article on the Wilmington Star's website and advised potential actors/team mates that the show was looking for “…experienced basketball players for season five of the CW television series. The show includes basketball story lines in which the ‘hero team,' the Tree Hill Ravens, will be featured.”

One Tree Hill overcame extreme on-the-bubbleness to earn an unlikely full season order. The show will return with 22 new episodes in mid season with many of the loose ends behind us, and all the original characters leading much different lives.

One character, Lucas, will be leading a predictable life as the coach of the Tree Hill Ravens, so expect to see continued basketball action from actor Chad Michael Murray.

Like many shows on the CW, One Tree Hill seems to be returning with massive formula changes that could make or break the drama. It has been accused of being gritty teenybopper fair in the past. The jump ahead requires more mature story lines, which by its very nature means the target demographic needs to age as well.

Of course, viewers who started with one tree hill from the beginning have aged five years themselves, so for them it will be as if the show has caught up. The question is, can a show that was formerly regarded as bubble gum appeal to a fresh adult audience?
